Instructions for Using Digital Sound Level Meter

1. Basic Usage:

1. Gear Adjustment. Press the power switch, and the screen displays its default measurement range of 40-90dB and real-time measured sound level. If "Underer" or "OVER" appears on the screen, it means that the current measured sound level is not in that gear range and needs to be adjusted by pressing the LEVER ▲ or ▼ key.

2、 Selection of weighted mode. Press the A/C key to select. When measuring sound levels perceived by humans, choose A-weighted mode, and when measuring actual sound levels, choose C-weighted mode.

3、 Read the real-time sound level and select FAST. To obtain the average sound level at that time, select SLOW by pressing the FAST/SLOW key. To read the maximum value, press the MAX key. When measuring at night and turning on the screen backlight, press the RS232 button in the bottom right corner.

4、 Set the time and date. Press and hold the MAX key while turning off the device, and the screen will display the time status. Press the LEVER ▲ or ▼ key to adjust the data, and press the MAX key to switch between minutes, hours, days, months, etc. After adjusting, turn off the device.

2. Data access method:

1. Store data in the instrument: Press the FAST/LOW key for more than two seconds. When the screen flashes with the RECORD character, release it. At this time, the instrument will start storing real-time measurement data until the FULL character is displayed on the screen, indicating that it is full.

2、 Delete data in the instrument: Press the LEVER ▲ key for more than two seconds, release it when the ELR large character appears on the screen, and then press the ▼ key for more than two seconds, release it when the screen flashes. At this time, the data is deleted and the screen returns to normal display.

3、 Sending data to the computer: First, install the SoundLeverMeter program on the computer, connect the instrument to the computer, run the SoundLeverMeter program, and click START on the open interface to start receiving data. Press and hold the A/C button on the instrument for more than two seconds, and the SENDING MEMO character will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. At this point, the instrument will start sending data to the computer until all stored data has been sent. During the sending process, a Downloading Please Wait... prompt box will pop up on the sound level meter interface of the computer. After sending, a dialog box will pop up again. Enter a name to save.

4、 Read data on the computer: Run the SoundLeverMeter program, click Open under File, and find the file to open.
