What is a gas Roots flowmeter?
The Roots flowmeter uses mechanical measuring elements to continuously divide the fluid into individual known volume parts, and measures the total flow volume based on the number of times the measuring chamber sequentially and repeatedly fills and discharges that volume part of the fluid.. When the measured fluid flows through the flowmeter, the dynamic pressure of the fluid creates a differential pressure between the inlet and outlet, which drives the waist wheel to rotate. When the fluid pushes the waist wheel on the D2 axis to rotate counterclockwise, as shown in Figure 1A, the driving gear connected to it drives the waist wheel on the D1 uranium to rotate clockwise for 90 degrees, resulting in the state shown in Figure 1C. The upper waist wheel is pushed clockwise by the fluid, and the driving gear drives the lower waist wheel to rotate counterclockwise. When the waist wheel rotates 360 degrees, four times the effective volume of the measuring chamber is discharged from the flowmeter. In this way, the two waist wheels exchange driving rotation, and as the waist wheels rotate, the fluid is continuously discharged from the flow meter through the measuring chamber. The volume of fluid discharged by the waist wheel per revolution is a fixed value, which is proportional to the number of revolutions of the waist wheel shaft. Through the waist wheel shaft and other transmission mechanisms, the number of rotations is reduced and transmitted to the accumulation display part. It is precisely the working principle of the waist wheel flowmeter that determines that as long as the internal clearance design and assembly of the measuring chamber are reasonable, this flowmeter will have
